Left: In “Veteran’s Day,” two Vietnam War
vets (Ian Keith and Raven) are dragged back into an
unwelcome past by a mysterious stranger (Patti Quintero).
Right: Nine-year-old Keira Matkins and
Heather Poulson mirror each other’s movements in “Apple,” a
surrealistic exploration of the search for meaning in
human relationships with each other and our maker.

Audience Comments
A really fine
festival -- all three plays were spectacular in their own right.
I am so proud of the local talent displayed on stage, behind the
scenes, and in the writing itself. Hard to believe it all comes
out of li'l ol' Jefferson County! Kudos to all the playwrights,
who worked so hard to see their plays come to fruition. It was a
wild ride for the appreciative audience.

"If you think this festival is amateur
work, think again. ... perhaps the strongest slate of plays
this festival has seen in all of its 12 years."
— from the P T Leader Review
"[A] chance to see three different stories
told in three vastly different styles...all were
imaginatively staged."
