Great show! Captured all the emotions in the spectrum, but I
mostly enjoyed the laughing. "The switch" was cool for that.
We especially liked the small group discussion after the show
where we were able to ask questions about the shows and about
theatre itself. Very informative and teaching and gives me ever
more appreciation of the acting profession and all it entails.
thanks so much

We thought all three
plays were well done, enjoying especially the absurdity of The
Switch. Hearing the private thoughts of the characters in A Few
Moments at the Sonatina Cafe was an interesting twist that gave
the characters added dimension in a one act play. Above all, the
AfterWords discussion following the plays, with cast members,
directors, playwrights, and artistic director, gave us a deeper
appreciation for all that goes into the creative and production
processes. Bravo to KCP!

One of the best
Playwright Festivals yet! All three plays were wonderfully acted
and the stories were engaging and often thought-provoking.
Bravo!

Three strong winners!
Gathering is sweet and hot.....funny stuff from a real place. I
know that kid who won't hug his dad....I raised that kid. YIKES!
The Switch is amazing..."young man" is one fresh new face
glowing with believability in a surreal setting. "Old Man" is
awesomely unbelievable...like a character from the Simpsons...funny
clipped dialogue. Loved laughing with these guys and the rest of
their odd visitors.
Sonatina Cafe is
engaging and surprising too. Not an easy little piece but full
of humor and the players have worked hard to make it
shine....bravo for them and for us. I'll see these again.

Fantastic openning
night!!
"Gathering" was wonderful with several twists and warm human
interest. Although the ending was a bit predictable, it was a
very touching and uplifting play dealing with relationships,
issues and feelings everyone can associate with in their lives.
"The Switch" had a number of surprises and on a number of
occasions caused me to take a deeper look at what seemed
obvious.
"A Few Moments at the Sonatina Cafe" addressed relationships by
hearing what the characters publicly said, but also what they
thought (which occasionally quite different).
The actors did a
great job in all three plays.
