Plan your visit to Key City Playhouse

Directions

Our mainstage is Key City Playhouse at 419 Washington Street in Port Townsend.

(For "Shakespeare in the Park" see Planning your visit to Chetzemoka Park.)

Washington Street is parallel to Water Street and one block northwest (away from the waterfront).

Water Street is the continuation of State Route 20 and Sims Way -- the main route into Port Townsend.

From Water Street, turn left onto Monroe Street (past the American Legion Hall, before the Swan Hotel).  At the next cross street (Washington) turn right into the parking lot.

Key City Playhouse

  • Our playhouse seats 66 and is wheelchair accessible.
  • The lobby opens an hour before curtain time.

Accessibility

  • The playhouse has a row of seats with no steps needed to get to them.
  • We can seat the hearing-impaired in our front row.
  • We have wheelchair seating.

Please call our office to reserve these seats -- either as you order tickets via phone (360.379.0195) -- or after you have purchased your ticket(s) at Quimper Sound or here on-line.  After office hours?  Leave a message.

Assisted Listening Devices

Thanks to the generosity of Rod Schmidt and The Rotary Club of Port Townsend, assisted listening devices are now available at Key City Playhouse.

Need a little boost in volume?  Do you want to relax and lean back but find yourself straining forward to catch the words?  Ask for an assisted listening device at the Playhouse box office or from any usher.

These devices are flexible. They can be used as:

  • Completely self-contained wireless headphones.
  • Receivers for your own headphones or earbuds.
  • Boosters for your own induction-loop hearing aid.

AfterWords Discussions

Get to know the actors and enjoy the opportunity to explore the themes of our productions further. Join us for informative discussions led by members of our artistic team after all Thursday evening shows and Sunday matinees.  (All performances of the Annual Playwrights' Festival are followed by AfterWords discussions.)
